Thanks for logging on. At TEAM ASCENT we offer a customised private mountain guiding and instructional service on a world wide basis.
Our principal guiding activities are with Sandy Allan BMG/IFMGA mountain guide. Based in Newtonmore, Inverness shire, Scotland, Sandy is an active mountain guide and director of the company. We also have other guides working with Sandy throughout Europe ( especially the French Alps) and we also provide guides for expeditions in the Himalaya and beyond. All our guides are UIAGM/IFMGA qualified and we endeavour to provide a safe, professional and quality service.
On this web site, under our courses you will find a number of fixed date course and adventures. However, please note that a huge part of our mountaineering is private guiding for individuals and groups, so please feel free to propose your own ideas, adventures and dates and we will try our best to meet your needs. We also provide lots of instructional courses so beginners are welcome. E-mail us direct if you need assistance with any mountain related project or adventure!
In addition to taking people into wild places we also offer safety support services to the film industry. We are actively involved in other consultancy roles such as "work at height " in exposed remote industrial work and rescue situations. In addition to this Sandy is an individual member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) and is a registered independant assessor to IRATA .
