Ski the Haute Route 2012 - Chamonix- Zermatt

This outstanding traverse on skis from Chamonix to Zermatt is for many people the ultimate ski tour. A good fitness standard and previous off-piste experience is esential. Our Team Ascent trip takes you from an evening brief and equipment preperation session prior to the course start date  and leads on to a warm up day skiing the classic Vallee Blanche from the Aiguille Du Midi to Chamonix. The guide will review some basic skills that day. We then set off on the Haute Route, staying overnight in mountain huts until we ski into Zermatt.

Itinerary: Evening prior to Day 1: Late afternoon/evening meet in Chamonix, briefing and equipment hire. Day 1: Ski Vallee Blanche and some ski tourng referesher skills. Day 2: Final preperation for departure, ski Grand Montets ski area and around early afternoon ski to to Argentier Mountain Hut. Day 3-7 continue the ski travravesre, Trient Hut , Champex, and various routes to Zermatt. Normally we try and complete the classic route via the Valsorey hut, if weather or snow conditions are not so good we go via Verbier, Mont Fort and the Dix Huts to Zermatt.

Price:

Pounds 570.00 per person.
Our price does not include any overnight accommodaton or meals although we will reserve all  mountain huts and mountain hut meals on your behalf. This allows maximum flexibility and the huts are paid for as we use them.Should you wish an all in inclusive package please contact us direct.
