Winter Walking Weekend
Meeting on the Friday evening for an inital brief and then hill days on the Saturday and Sunday. We then spend the day covering basic skills for winter walking. On the Saturday we cover self arrest and equipment and touch on snow pack awareness and navigation, during our hill walk. On the Sunday we take a full day’s walk, where we expand on the skills and you can also practice navigation and route choice and the use of a confidence rope. Snow pack instability (avalanche awareness), condition focasting, route planning, route choice and safety awareness is an important part of this fun filled course.

Courses available every weekend from 14 December 2012 until Spring 2013 and through out the summer. We also run these courses from several quality hotels and bunk houses throughout Scotland.
