Ama Dablam and Island Peak We have an expedition to Ama Dablam in October 2011. As normal we will are acclimatise by climbing a trekking peak which while adding some additional costs has proven to work really well ,ensuring that all members are well acclimatised and have good fixed rope skills ready for the main summmit. For post monsoon 2011 we are going to trek to and then climb Island Peak before going along to Ama Dablam base camp to climb AmaDablam. This gives incredibly good acclimatisation and practice on fixed ropes, high altitude camping and expedition mountaineering. It gives us all a very high chance to summit two great peaks and see even more of the famous Khumbu region of Nepal. While Sandy and some of our Sherpas lead you on Island Peak our second team of Sherpas will be preparing Ama Dablam. This increases your summit chances, as you'll have time to enjoy and rest at Ama Dablam base camp between summits. This itinerary also avoids the repetitive walking back and forth between the same low camps on Ama Dablam as you will already be acclimatised.

Dates are: 16th October to 15th November 2011. 31 Days. Arrivng back in Kathmndu on day 29, 30th day is free day in Kathmndu. Transfers to Airport on day 31.
Our Local agents will meet you at Kathmandu airport and take you to our hotel. They will also bring you back to the airport at the close of the expedition if required.
Domestic fixed wing flights from Kathmandu to Lukla return are included in our price.

£5900.00 Full Expedition and Trekking Peak : which includes: Island peak and Ama Dablam. This is based on a minimum group size of 4 persons a UIAGM/IFMGA guide and Sherpas. Please note that this price includes, 4 nights in a four star hotels in Kathmandu, guided tour of Kathmandu, domestic fixed wing flights to and from Lukla, all lodges, feeding and camping for the duration, the trek and the ascent of two mountains, private tents at base camp, and shared tents on the mountain, a high Sherpa to client ratio with an experienced IFMGA/guide leader. During the one trip you will see many aspects of Nepal and the Sherpa kingdom.
Basic AMA DABLAM ONLY: £ 3900.00 TBC: This includes hotels in Kathmandu, return flight to Lukla, trek to base camp and acclimatisation on the peak along with our climbing sherpas and the main expedition group after they acclimatise on Island Peak. Accom and feeding for the duration. Our sherpas and guides do all your snow melting and food preperation above base camp, you are welcome to lenda hand if you wish but we prefer you to rest up at the camps and let us do the work for you to ensure that you are in the best possible condition to make the ascent.
