Alpine Summer Courses
For so many years now we have been running our sucessful Alpine courses . These are based from Chamonix, Haute Savoie, France and include adventures to the Swiss and Italian Alps. Much of our work now has evolved into prvate guiding where we guide private individuals and groups.
For Alpine mountaineering we base our selves in the French village of Chamonix at varaious times throughout the year. Chamonix is a bustling mountain town , regraded as the main centre of Europen alpinisme and well worth a visit. It's world leading network of cable cars, mountain railways and mountain huts allows quick access to the high summits. All this makes Chamonix an ideal mountaineering base. With it's good road and rail links to Switzerland and Italy allowing us to guide in all Alpine areas.Geneva airport has many international flights and is about one hours drive time away. Lyon, Grenoble and Milan Airport are also well serviced by many of the worlds favorite airlines and while further away is still not too far a drive.
We offer walking, mountaineering, rock climbing, technical alpine climbing, ice climbing, off-piste skiing and ski mountaineering trips depending on conditions and the time of year. We regularly guide Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau and Gran Paridiso and of course many other mountains and technical routes in between. The area has also good access to wonderful rock climbing crags and a profusion of walking trails.
All our Team Ascent mountain guides are qualified UIAGM/IFMGA mountain guides and for all our other walking trips that avoid high mountain glaciers you willl be led by qualified International Mountain Leaders.
