Mt Baruntse (7129m) combined with Mera Peak Expedition

This expedition takes us to  a remote area of Nepal. Baruntse is 23,390 ft/7129m.
After preparations in Kathmnadu which includes a guided city tour we fly to Lukla, and begin our trek into the Hinku valley. The route we have chosen gives good and prudent acclimatisation. On the way to Baruntse base camp we climb Mera Peak ( 6654m) which gives additional acclimatisation and avoids repeated acclimatisation walks once we arrive at Baruntse where we establish our base camp at 5400m above Panch Pokhari. We will ascend the mountain by the West Col. The route is generally a straight forward snow and ice climb and not technically very demanding. A high level of fitness is necessary. Our team of sherpas directed by Sandy (IFMGA guide)  will fix the mountain and camps and assist in all cooking. We have  planned the expedition over 38 days and an itinerary is listed below. Included in our expedition are both summits and  we also cross the Amphu Pass taking you back into the Sherpa region of the Khumbu before your return flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
It is possible to join this expedition to climb Mera peak only and then return to Kathmandu.
